Combining 12.3 mega-pixel image quality passed down from the prized D300 with innovative new features, the D90’s stunning, low-noise image quality is now made even better with EXPEED image processing. By offering instant shutter response and uninterrupted shooting at up to 4.5 frames per second, Nikon delivers the power to grab the fast action and the exact moments, and their exclusive Scene Recognition System adds to quicker 11-area auto-focus performance, higher white balance detection and even more.
Employing wide-ranging exposure functions and the intellect of 3D color Matrix Metering II, the D90 provides the command serious photographers require. A three inch, 920,000-dot LCD monitor offers dazzling picture reviews, along with Live View composition plus great playback of the D90’s realistic-quality 24-fps HD-Movie mode.

‘ Wow is all I can say’
After being a happy owner of a D80 for two years I decided to buy a D90 and I’ll tell you why. The clarity is amazing at 1600+ ISO. Here in Seattle I have to do a lot of low light shooting with long lenses and need a higher ISO to increase the shutter speed. This camera has been nothing short of excellent.
‘ Great camera for the money’
Although I am an amateur photographer I feel this is an excellent camera. I feel it is the best value DSLR for your money. After trying the D300, Canon EOS40D and Olympus E3 I decided on this camera. It takes amazing photographs! The low light performance is fantastic and worth buying the camera for alone. Now when I take photographs of people I don’t see faces that are too brightly lit or squinty! It does also take videos, which can be a fun thing to do, but quality of the photographs is where this camera really stands above the rest.
‘ Epic leap forward’
I am so glad I upgraded from a D40x to a D90. The picture quality and high ISO settings are what sets it apart. Even shooting at ISO 1600 on the new camera looks better than the ISO 800 on the D40x. You can set controls with a single button. The D90 has an internal focus motor that can be used to auto focus my 50mm/fl.8 lens too!
